Great concept but falls short

I feel like this book had great potential- but instead of going into more detail about the real experiences, the author seems to gloss over them pretty quickly and instead goes into great detail about every meal and snack she ate while on the job...after finishing the book, I know more about this girl's appetite and park-food preferences than I do about her actual work. Over and over, just when things started to get interesting, she'd suddenly shift gears and talk about how she managed to steal quick breaks and eat burgers and corn dog nuggets....again and again and again.
Being a VIP tour guide is, I imagine, a high level customer job with Disney, a company SO concerned with its image...so likely this kind of job is reserved for a select few-? Maybe I'm wrong, but I keep thinking there must be more to this author than what she portrays here, which, honestly,
comes off a bit whiny at times. Anyone who has worked in customer service- particularly in entertainment or travel related customer service- knows that like days like her frustrating afternoon running around the the airport are actually pretty typical, and the real stories are about the people you're dealing with, not the step-by-step travel planning details or the burger you finally get to eat after a long and tiring day....

I enjoyed this read. Tour guide Annie's stories are engaging, interesting, and entertaining. On my own recent rip to WDW I was much more aware of the guides than I had been on past trips and was wondering how those being guided were behaving. It also made me have to try the corn dog nuggets at Casey's Corner for which I am grateful. Fun read for those who live Disney.

The story was funny, poignant

The story was funny, poignant, and well written. As a Disney fanatic, I loved reading stories about my favorite place. Even if some of them were about badly behaved guests because, let's face it, there are so many of those there. I will say though, that the book needed some more editing. There were typos and misspelled words galore.
